Stage & Sound Training
All volunteers
wishing to work as a Sound Technician or Stage Manager are strongly
recommended to attend our Stage and Sound Training class that will
be held on Sunday, February 23rd in the west end of the Centennial
Hall. That's the end closest to the DAR house and the Dallas
downtown.
The training will cover the basics of sound reinforcement, microphones
and their uses, cable placement, sound mixing, speaker placement,
electrical safety and how to set up in a quick and efficient manner.
This is also a benefit to Stage Managers since they are often called
upon to assist with getting the larger bands on and off stage
quickly.
Training is
provided by our Sound Coordinator, David Glass and a number of his
sound engineers.
The training
lasts about four hours, and will count as one Festival shift.
